Gilbert American Little League Division Champs GO CUBS!
MY LITTLE CUBBIE!

Jayden is playing with his club baseball team for the Gilbert American Little League this fall season. He really was looking forward to playing soccer with Brigden again this year; but before signing up he was personally invited to join this club team. He was so excited for this oppurtunity. After many months of practicing and about 20 games later the CUBS are still undefeated and became Division Champions last Thursday. We are so excited for Jayden and his much driven success. His main positions are pitcher and short stop. He really likes playing for coach Camarena! We are looking forward to tournament that starts next week and then ALL-STARS! WHAT A SEASON! I just wonder will it ever end! NOPE!

I am finally back to the blogging world. Our computer crashed a few months ago but we have it back and running so here is some updated pictures. Chazlyn turned 1 at the end of February. Can't believe my baby girl is 1 already. She is so much fun but she sure does keep us on our toes. This girl has so much more spunk and ATTITUDE then her brothers! Jayden and Brigden played baseball this spring again. Jayden even tried out and made the minors. We were so excited when we found out he had made it. In minors you have to be 9-10 years of age and Jayden is only 8. For any of you that know Jayden though; this was no suprise; he is that GOOD! Not a mother bragging or anything! Jayden had an awesome season. He ended up liking pitching, being the catcher and playing short stop. We have him working with a pitching coach now so he will be even better for the season next year. He even got the chance to go to a baseball clinic this summer and work with some major league baseball players! Brigden was in coach pitch and played on the Rockies team. He has improved so much this year. I think it helps when you have bigger brother yelling at you from the side lines and telling you what you did wrong. Landen is just our BIG BRUTE! He wants to play so bad and loves to practice with his brothers anytime that he can. The boys ended the school season with a BANG too! Jayden ended up being the ULTIMATE MATH MASTER! He beat the principle every time that he tested against her! Brigden finally ended up in the math masters too; and they both got the CITIZENSHIP award! Go SMITH BOYS! Mike is still working a million hours for Metro Fire and for myself I am still that stay at home mom that has a million part time jobs! Still work for Family Doctors and am still the Vice President and Treasurer on the PTO board at the boys school. I love being with my kids!

Cap of 2010 Soccer Season

Well soccer season has finally ended. Glad for us as parents now we get our saturdays back but the kids will sure miss it! Both boys did so well this year being their first year. Jayden was named MVP for his team. He sure was the rock for his team. He was so very fast and scored 98% of the goals. Their team ended up undefeated for the season! GO JAYDEN we are so very proud of you! Brigden did about the same. He must of scored at least 10 goals a game. The other kids just let him have the ball most of the time because they knew he was faster than them and would just score! Next fall we are planning on them being on the same team together! Watch out for the smith boys! We are all so very proud of you two and your great talent in sports!!!!

Jaydens Baptism

Jayden turned 8 at the beggining of October and was baptised a member of the church last Saturday October 30th by his dad. He got to be baptised the same day as one of his friends Liam. I thought that I was emotional having him be my first; he was more motional than me. I think he really felt the spirit for the first time that day. We are so proud of him for make this big decision in his life. We are so grateful for Jayden and the example he is to his brothers, sister, cousins and friends. We love you Jayden!

Chazlyn is 6 months old now. She is becoming very active and independent! She just learned to crawl last week and is now pulling herself up on things. She just stays on her knees for now; but it wont be long until she is standing up. Were has the time gone? She is such a joy to have in our crazy family of boys! She is the happiest girl ever and loves her brothers!

Jedi Knights

Jayden is playing soccer this fall for AYSO and their team is called the Jedi Knights. Their first game they won 4-1. Jayden made two of the goals! Did I expect anything less; not really. My boys are always playing with a baseball, football or soccer ball! Brigden also had his first game but their banner was not done yet. So I will post pictures of him next time. His team name is the cheetahs. They also won 22-0! Brigden made about 95% of the goals! Just like his brother. What can I say he has a great example for a big brother! We love both of you boys and are so very proud of your efforts. Go TEAM SMITH!

Dove hunting

September 1st is the date that every dove hunter looks forward too! Especially my husband. He wakes up at 4 in the morning to get to his spot and sits until a half hour before sunrise then he shoots away! Poor birds:( I still dont understand why he doesnt hunt in our back yard; we have tons because of the chickens and there feed. The boys also got to go with dad a couple of times too! They love being with dad; especially when thet get to shoot their bb guns. Anyways this is the recipe that we are trying this year on the barbecue. Looks yummy!

Soccer 2010

Both Jayden and Brigden are in soccer this fall since the city of Gilbert decided not to let outside boundaries play baseball for them this fall. They both are loving it so far. They both have a couple of buddies on their teams. Jaydens team is the Jedi Knights and Brigdens is the Cheetahs. Landen is having a blast practicing with them and playing at the playground during practices.

First day of School

Jayden and Brigden started school today. Jayden is 7 and started 2nd grade and Brigden is 5 and started all day Kindergarden. Two down and two to go! They are both so excited to start. They were both up at 5:45 a.m. this morning and school doesn't start until 7:40 a.m. Brigden has been watching Jayden play soccer every morning for the past two years; so this morning he finally got to join in the fun! I can't believe how quite my house is this morning; and Landen is so lost!

50th Wedding Anniversary

My in-laws celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend. We had a huge get together with the family. We are so big that we had to have it at a church. Crazy I know! We had a great time! Congratulations we love you both so much. We hope to spend many more years with the both of you!

First part of the weekend we headed up north to see the Snowflake temple and to fish at the lakes up north. Then we went over to my parents house to have some fun in the pool. Jayden started learning how to scuba dive! We had so much fun!

Well we just finished the regular season of baseball which was so much fun but alot of work. We had both boys in it this year so we had games almost every night; plus Mike coached Brigdens team and I was the team mom. CRAZY i know! But its over. NOT. Jayden made All stars AGAIN! On Wednesday as I was pulling into the parking lot for a baseball game I got the call that I have been dreading for a few years now. It was a call from my dad saying that my grandma had just passed away. She was diagnosed with small cell cancer almost three years ago and was only given 6 months to live but she lasted almost three years. She was a fighter that was for sure. So my mom left right away while my dad, brothers, I and Chazlyn flew up to San Francisco on Friday. When we arrived on Friday we helped get the house ready for the gathering after the funeral as well as get the funeral preperations all done. The funeral was Saturday at 2:00 p.m. and it was so beautiful. My dad did the ceremony and he did an awesome job. After she was loaded into this old fashion hurst and taken up the hill where we laid her to rest. We then headed to the house to have a celebration of her life. Grandma was 77 years old when she passed away from a heart attack on Wednesday night. She loved baking, cooking, being with family and friends and traveling in their R.V. with her husband of 59 years. The rest of the week we had a great time with Grandpa going to the farmers market, out to eat, going to the beach and traveling to San Francisco twice to SHOP! Fun but exhausting trip. We will miss Grandma greatly; but look forward for Grandpa coming down to spend some time with us, since we usually only got to see them once a year. LOVE you BOTH!

Well we have two boys playing baseball this spring can you say CRAZY! We have a game or practice about every night of the week. Jayden is in his last season of coach pitch and is the Texas Rangers this year.Brigden is just starting T-ball with Mike as his coach and he is the California Angels. We are so excited that baseball is here; although mom is going a little crazy having a toddler and newborn to take care of. Good Luck boys we are so proud of you and all you do! Landen loves watching his brothers play ball too! He wants to be just like them.

Well my third boy turned two yesterday. He is such a fun and entertaining BIG BOY. We call him our little brute! He is short but chunky and strong! He loves to wrestle his brothers and dad. We had his grandparents over for some Reeses ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Boy was that GOOD! He got his own t-ball set like his bigger brother, clothes, money and a new quad from mom and dad. He is definately in his terrible twos! ATTITUDE! I can definately say he has been such a handful with Chazlyn. Happy Birthday Brute we love you so much!

Brigden fell asleep with his sister after school the other day. So precious:)

My doctor induced me on Friday night at 9 p.m. since she was giving me such grief. I had been in labor three nights prior to that but nothing strong to keep me in the hospital. He was on call all weekend so he decided what the heck. She would only be 1 day early. They couldn't start the pitocin until 12:30 a.m. due to me having to have antiobitics pumped into my system for 4 hours so really she was born 4 hours after they started it. I went from a 3 to a 6 in 45 minutes then popped my water followed by my BEST FRIEND the epidural; then from a 6 to 10 in no time. She was born at 4:32 a.m. LONG NIGHT and DAY! She weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and 19 inches long. She is so petite and tiny. She has been such a joy to our family. She only cries when she is hungry or dirty diaper. She already sleeps 6 hours through the night and she is as cute as ever! What more could you ask for!

For all those that are wondering Chazlyn did arrive this past weekend only one day from her due date. She was 7 pounds 9 ounces and 19 inches long. She arrived at 4:32 a.m. on Saturday the 27th. She has lots of black hair. She is the best baby ever and I thank Heavenly Father everyday for giving her to us. We are having so much fun with PINK and BOWS! The boys just love her and daddy is having the best time with his new little girl! We still can't believe we have a GIRL! I will post pictures soon!

Today Brigden turns the big 5 or as he says "one whole hand." We decided to celebrate his birthday last night since dad has to work the late shift tonight. So we went goofy golfing at golfland and then took him to Texas Road House for dinner. The boys got balloons from the balloon guy and while we were singing to Brig while he was on the "bull" of course, he made Brig a birthday hat. He loves it and has been wearing it all day. We are so lucky to have a boy like Brig in our family. He is so fun loving and keeps us on our toes for sure! Happy Birthday Brig we love you so much!

I am so sorry that I have not posted for a while but we have had our ups and downs with my pregnancy. More downs than ups but lately things seem to have evened out and she is doing good. It has been poor mom that has been doing the suffering of course. Long story short she has decided to come a little to early and mom is left with taking lots of medicine and exams for it and now I am stuck with a weird rash behind both of my legs that is more painful than itchy from it all. NOT FUN! But here is some of our Christmas pictures. Santa gave the two older boys and WII and Landen got his first scooter, in which he calls his bike. After opening all their gifts at our house we went over to my parents and had another Christmas practically. The two older boys got these really cool remote control cars and guns and Landen got his ELMO. Marley of course got her holiday necklace and lots of treats. We hope that 2010 brings more joy and happiness to our family.

Past two weeks

The past couple of weeks have been very eventful with Halloween and school. Brigden, Landen and I had the oppurtunity to go to the Pumpkin Patch for his first preschool field trip. Then his preschool had a carnival. I took Jayden out of school early to be with us for that one. Dad had a hunting trip during Halloween this year so mom got to carve pumpkins with the kids all by herself. But we did it and had a great time and also had a BLAST at Halloween together. Jayden was a wolf ninja, Brigden was a power ranger and Landen was incredible hulk. No that band-aid is not part of his costume. He really got hurt.Last night was Jaydens last night for fall ball. He ended the year with a .913 batting average, five doubles, and one triple. Pretty good for 7! We are so proud of him. He also got the first ever penmenship award for first grade last week. He recieved an award and a gift gad for $10.Pretty good for a BOY!

GIRL

Finally we are getting our GIRL. We are so excited! We were not going to find out; but with me being in the profession that I was in for so many years I knew what every little part of the body was in the ultrasound. There was nothing between the legs!! YAH! She will be very spoiled from us and from my parents since she is the first grandaughter on my side! Everything else looked GREAT! She will make her debut in February. FINALLLY!

Well we decided to go costume shopping at Party City yesterday and this is what happens. Brigden had just got done trying on his costume and he triped and fell flat on his chin. So we ended up at Uncle Gary's office for two hours getting stitched and glued. Yes, both because it was so deep and wide. What is next for this poor boy? I hope nothing. This is his fourth set of stitches.

Fall League 2009

Jayden started another baseball season this month and plays until the end of November. We have decided to put him in a fall league in Gilbert since he loves the sport so much and since mesa doesn't offer one. He has done really well so far two doubles, one triple, and has even got his first double play. The coach promised the first player to get this he was going to treat to an ice cream. GOOD JOB JAYDEN we knew you could do it! What can we say this boy is a natural. His shirt says it all #1!

Well Brigden started school this Monday. He goes to school three days a week this year, so I only have one child for this time! He is at Ms. Rebeccahs school again for the last year and then goes all day next year. He has 13 boys in his class so he loves it but poor teacher! Good Luck this year Brigden we LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Well today was Jaydens first day of 1st grade. He woke up bright and early and ready to go. Sometimes I think that summer is to long! Grammie surprised us all and showed up to take Jayden to his first day of school with Mike and I. Thanks for your support Grammie! He loves his new teacher. He is getting used to not having snack time and so many recesses like in Kindergarden! He did complain of having so many kids in his class. He went from having 18 in his class last year to 30 this year. I guess from all of those dang budget cuts! We love you Jayden and hope that you have an awesome school year! Mommy will miss her little helper!

Beehive Camp Out

Well Mike and I and another leader and her husband and two other men went on a camp out with our beehives for the weekend. We had such a blast! Our beehives always complain that they don't get to go on hikes like the boys so we took them. They also couldn't pass their camp fire certification at camp so we help them with this also. Saturday we went on an awesome hike that was literally straight up! We got to see these indian ruins when we got to the top. We also had fun playing in the creek which had a cool waterfall at the end. We finished the day by driving to the very top of the mountain and eating lunch up there. It was a great weekend. I love my girls so much! My husband too for putting up with us for the weekend!

Well Mike and I just found out that we are adding onto our family one more time. Yes I am pregnant again and Landen is only 17 months old! I have never had one this close before so this shall be interesting. We were pretty shocked to say the least. We were trying everything NOT to get pregnant. We both had decided that we were good with three boys but the Lord has other plans for us I guess. We are hoping that this is our surprise GIRL! I am sick but have not thrown up yet. If anybody knows me with being pregnant with my boys I threw up EVERY morning. We will be expecting this new arrival the end of February.

Sonoma California Train Station

On one of the days that we were in San Fransisco we went to the town of Sonoma and enjoyed a day at their train town. They have lots of rides including a carousel, airplane ride, ferris wheel, dragon roller coaster, and of course the famous train! The boys had such a fun time especially Landen he would not stop jabbering all day.

This was a funny picture of the boys. On your train ride you get to stop at this little train depot and feed their animals and see all of their replica of the olden days. Well these replicas are child size and I just loved this one of this port-a-potty. They also had a jail, fire station, saloon, school and many more.

San Fransisco Trip

Well we just returned from our two week trip to San Fransisco. What a fun vacation and a great way to escape the HEAT! We surprised my grandparents; and stayed with them in there house just north of the city to celebrate my grandpas 80th birthday. We did something every day that we were there. We decided to drive this time and it was actually fun. It was a great time for Mike and I to just sit and talk for 14 hours! The boys actually didn't mind it either. Here are a few thing that we did on our vacation.

THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH

We went to the Barnum and Bailey Circus last night, what a great show! The boys eyes were glued the whole time. We went with my mom and my sister-in-law chelsea and my nephew Rustin. We had such a great time as a girls night out. Especially that we got to be in my dads company suite! The boys loved the elephants and the HUGE cannon that shot people out of it! Before the show started we got to go down to the floor and we could touch the elephants we were so close. What a neat experience for the kids. If anyone is thinking about going this year I would definately say it is worth the money.

Landens surgery day

Landen had surgery on Tuesday for cronic ear infections. He had tubes placed in his ears to help drain the fluid that has been building in his ears. This poor kid was at the doctor every other week for ear infections and this has been happening since March. You can tell he is feeling better already! This was a picture before his surgery; I could not get one after his surgery because he was crazy with that anestesia in his system. He was screaming and throwing himself around for an hour or so! I also came home to find this egg from one of our chickens. You can see how much bigger it is than the other one. So I used it the other day and it was a double yoke! Poor chicken! Its like giving birth to two kids at once! OUCH!

Brigden got this mask from my brother-in-laws office and decided to wear it yesterday. I thought this was so funny when he was wearing while he was playing baseball with his brother!

I MADE IT THROUGH THE WEEK

This past week was girls camp for our stake. We had such a great time. We got to play various games which were a blast. But I can say that our ward ruled in STORM THE CASTLE!!! We were a little to competitive! Especially us leaders! We also got to rock climb and repell which were my two favorites. We also got to go canoing one day and three of our girls "fell in." It was fun being with the girls in a different setting. I love my girls so much, and ejoyed being with them. I came home very exausted from little to no sleep. But I can't wait until next year!

Jaydens baseball season began a couple of weeks before Spring Break and we have not braked since. This baseball stuff keeps us very busy! His last game was just last week but he made the All Star Team so now week get to start all over again. But we are so PROUD of you Jayden. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!! He was the smallest and youngest to make it this year! BUT the BEST!

Sorry I have not posted for a while. We have been very busy lately and with all these new posts maybe you will see were I am coming from. So we went to Sea World finally with my family. We had such a great time. We started off the day with feeding the dolphins. What a cool experience for my boys! The whole day was just AWESOME! The boys loved the sharks and especially the Shamu show!

Well today was the big day for Brigden to get his cast off and boy was it time. The nurse almost past out when she took it off; the smell was that BAD!!! I was suprised that he didn't even move when they had to saw it off. The noise alone scared me. We had to get another set of X-rays done when it came off and everything looks great and back in place. He also got his stitches out last week. I hope he stays in one piece for a while!

We rented a bouncer and had all of our family and Brigdens friends over for his birthday party. It was a transformers theme party (his favorite movie). We had about 20 or more kids at one time in the bouncer but it was a great day. They bounced from about 8 this morning till about 8 tonight. It should be lots of fun trying to get them up for church in the morning. Thanks again to everyone that came it was so much fun.

Brigden loves football. He wants to play for Sparky (ASU) when he gets older; so mom suprised him with a football cake! He looks like a football player already with his cast and stitches on his face.

Well here we go again. After I had posted about the boys being sick Brigden came home with this huge hole under his eye. I guess his friend who lives down the street accidently hit him with a piece of concrete. So just like the past two weekends we went to urgent care AGAIN. Round two

So this is round two for us. We have spent the last two weekends in urgent care either due to a broken arm or someone really sick. So yesterday I got a call from Jaydens nurse at school saying that he has a double ear infection. So I called our doctor who happens to be their uncle and we had all of them seen again and now they are all on another medication. They all have ear, eye and respiratory infections. I hope this goes away SOON!

Brigden on the Bosu

So I bought this Bosu at Costco to help me lose some of my baby weight and Brigden just loves it. This morning I caught him flying on it with his superhero cape and his lovely cast. We now call him the "ladies man" because his cast has girls names written all over it and either hearts or I love U along with it. What can I say he is a CUTE boy!!!

Our First Eggs

So we have five chickens and after 8 long months we finally got three eggs yesterday. Its like Christmas all over again with the boys. They get up bright and early every morning (nothing new)and go check to see if there are any eggs. If anyone wants fresh eggs just let us know I'm sure there will be plenty.

Brigden bites the Dust AGAIN

Well Brigden did it again. Yes another injury. This time he has a impact fracture to his hand just by messing around on the trampoline with his brother. We had to visit an orthopedic sugeon today to see if he needs surgery thank goodness he does not. But he is in a cast for four weeks. Yea for mom trying to keep it clean and not wet!!! Although our vacation to the sand dunes had to be cancelled due to him not being able to be around sand. Mike is not to happy but oh well; maybe next month.

Fishing on New Years

We decided to go fishing on New Years Day. Mike had heard that they had stocked Tempe Town Lake with like 6,000 fish so we decided to give it a try. We usually only like to fish the mountain lakes but since they are all frozen this will have to do. Brigden was the winner with catching the first fish so he gets the banana aplit from Dairy Queen. The boys also kept busy by climbing all the trees and acting like monkeys. While I on the other hand decided to walk the lake with Landen and get my exercise in. It was a great and enjoyable day by all.

Here are my boys having fun in the snow. We decided to go to the snow on Saturday after the big storm and there was snow everywere. We had alot of fun throwing snowballs at each other and sledding on our sleds.

The boys got these new plasma cars early for Christmas because Popi and Grammie Brandon left early to California. They love them and as you can see so does Landen. The are even sturdy enough for adults to ride. They are a BLAST!

Jayden decided that he can ride his bike all by himself. He basically taught himself in one afternoon. Go Jayden GO!!! He also decided to lose his second top tooth at school today. I guess he will want his two front teeth for Christmas. It has been quite the day for him.

Jayden lost his third tooth this afternoon, I am so glad that we got family pictures before he lost it. The other top tooth is loose also so it should not be long before that falls out to. So far he has lost his two bottom and one top teeth.

Sand dunes trip

We ended up going to the Gordon Wells sand dunes this month and had a great time. We stayed for three very hot days. It was almost in the 90's all three days. We had a great time with family and friends! We had a group of about 50 people! About 3/4 were kids so my boys had a blast. Everyone came back safe so thats what really counts. We can't wait until our next trip around new years. Here are few pictures with Jayden and Brigden jumping and a picture of Landen in his playpen. This playpen was a life saver because he loved to eat the sand.

We finally got new pictures taken tonight as a family. We had our good friend Kellen take them at the Shanandoha Mill. We are so greatful for good friends. We had lunch today with Jayden at school it was alot of fun to see so many kids that we knew. Brigden decided to get the flu or some kind of bug tonight so I'm sure we will be up for awhile.
